Tie Hof (1927-2020) of Ritthem, Holland, is a much-loved and long-established painter of portraits and landscapes.
In the 1950’s and 60’s she studied under the famous Belgian painter, ceramist and glazier Joost Maréchal, who encouraged her in all aspects of portrait painting.
Her unique style and technique is Impressionist, and her paintings reflect style and romance with unimposing colours, giving her subjects a timeless quality.
Throughout Belgium and Holland, Tie Hof has had regular solo exhibitions in Bruges, Ostend, Middelburg, Zierikzee, Burgh Haamstede, and Vlissingen, and group exhibitions in numerous other, equally prestigious locations.
Tie Hof has won the Van de Perre prize on two separate occasions. The first was with a beautiful portrait of her daughter Tineke and the second with a highly acclaimed portrait of actor Henk van Ulsen. |
